  2. I think that might be my grandma, Pat! My dad's middle name was Gordon (which he went by), named after her brother. I googled Drysdales in Australia and stumbled across this website. Think I just found some family! My Nana, Pat, moved to the US in 1945 and passed away in 2001. She often spoke of her family back in Australia.

  3. Hi Michelle! Yes you are one of us! Your grandma is my Aunty. And your Dad is my cousin! I have some great photos to send you if you give me your email address. Tell me a little about yourself. We live in Brisbane where your grandparents met during WWII. I was walking beside the river last night where the American ships and submarines were based, it's in the same suburb as where your grandmother was living during the war. Its a shame Dad never kept in contact with Pat. He wasn't very good at keeping in touch with family.
My wife Maureen and I have three children Dominic (27) lives in Vancouver, Meghan (25) and Rohan 22.
My wife and I are both in education. Maureen is a Primary school learning support teacher in a local Catholic schools, I work for Caritas Australia an international aid and development agency of the Catholic Church.
Life is pretty good in Brisbane it's a subtropical city with lots of trees and gardens. But very humid in summer. But to the south is the Gold Coast famous for surfing beaches and to the north is the Sunshine Coast. Australia Zoo is only an hour away. We also have beautiful rainforest areas inland.
Well its a real thrill that you found my blog. I look forward to hearing from you. Also you have an uncle Randy as well?
All the best for Christmas and 2018.
    Kerry
